Lettera inviata da Miasino presso Orta il 20 settembre 1856. De Notaris segnala a Moris un suo giovane amico, Carlo Fossati, che chiede gli sia confermata la laurea per potere esercitare nei Regi Stati. Si fermerà a Miasino sino a metà ottobre. Sta raccogliendo parecchie crittogame, di cui farà parte a Moris. In uno spazio libero è presente un appunto, di grafia Moris: “domanda trasmessa il 20 dello scorso mese al Consiglio Universitario di Genova pel suo parere”.
