Lettera inviata da Firenze il 12 aprile 1844. Cima dice a Moris di avere raccolto e redatto le lezioni tenute a Pisa da Matteucci, come lui stesso dichiara nella prefazione della pubblicazione. Purtroppo un suo amico, sull’Indicatore Sardo, ha scritto che le lezioni erano di Cima, esponendolo a giudizi negativi circa il suo operato. Prega Moris di chiarire l’equivoco, qualora fosse necessario.
