Lettera inviata da Genova il 28 aprile 1843. De Notaris spedirà presto a Moris il manoscritto sulle Caliciflore e alcune piante per lui critiche. Le piante potranno essere esaminate da Moris durante le vacanze. Anche De Notaris spera di andare in vacanza, contrariamente a quanto accaduto l’anno precedente. Sua moglie infatti ha superato il quarto mese di gravidanza e sta bene; pertanto si spera di evitare una nuova “sconciatura” [aborto]. Vuole terminare entro fine anno il lavoro sulle Fanerogame, per poi occuparsi delle Crittogame. De Notaris elenca alcune piante trovate a Portofino. L’iconografia di Cesati è stata accolta molto favorevolmente da Sua Maestà.
